We invite you to attend our special meeting this Sunday through Friday, June 2-7 at Heritage Baptist Church. Dr. Flanders has a true heart for revival and has studied and taught upon the history of religious revivals in America. Revival means to restore something to life or to make alive. Psalm 85 is a revival Psalm as David rejoices that God has brought back His people from past rebellion and restored them to spiritual life.
In his book, Back to Normal, Dr. Flanders writes that revival is God restoring Christians to the normal Christian life of surrendered seeking after God. He says, “If revival is understood as restoring Christians to normal, and if we find it promised in the Bible to contrite-hearted seekers, then it can be expected when we meet the conditions.”
Let’s never give up that God can give and send a revival to us individually, to our church corporately, and to a wider realm like our city or nation. Let’s seek God to do great and mighty things among us and through us for His glory in our city.
