God Made Man Out of Nothing!

January 22, 2020 Matthew Recker

God made man out of nothing. Since God made man on the sixth day, “seven days” before that, there was no material thing, there was nothing! This must reinforce our dependency upon God. Then, when He did make us on the sixth day, He used dust to remind us of our humility. He breathed into man to give us dignity, for we bear His image. Upon receiving breath, man received a living soul which gives us spirituality.

Many will ask, how do know this is true? First, your breath gives you life. The absence of breath is the reality of death, and when death occurs our body turns back to dust, just as God said in the beginning. This is real, unchangeable, inarguable truth for every man to confront!

The great news is the eternal God, our Lord Jesus Christ, who always has been, Himself took on human flesh. He left heaven to confront us and save us from our prideful, selfish, willful rebellion. He went further when He incredibly died on the cross to pay the full price of our sin. He did not stop, for He arose from death never more to die. He continued on when He ascended back to heaven, and He lives as KING of all kings. He is still not done, for He will come back again just as He left. It is man’s great test to now believe in Him for salvation. Depend upon Him! Walk humbly in integrity and dignity with Him! As you bear His image and have a living soul with which to communicate in a special way with God, call upon Him! What you do with Jesus will determine where you spend eternity. As God’s ambassador, I beseech you, Be reconciled to God!
